Montrel has been awarded a contract to execute interconnection, electrical installation, and instrumentation works at the facilities operated by Decal at the Port of Huelva, further strengthening its presence in one of the leading industrial and logistics hubs in Southern Europe.
The project includes the supply and installation of various electrical and control systems aimed at improving the operational performance, safety, and efficiency of the facilities. The main works awarded include the assembly of local control panels and electrical switchgear, control equipment, motor starters, electrical and communications cabling, as well as the expansion of the existing grounding network and the implementation of new motor control stations.
The contract also includes the installation of high-resistance industrial auxiliary infrastructure, such as perforated galvanized steel cable trays, rigid galvanized conduit piping, pneumatic instrumentation systems, and specialized connection components designed for highly demanding industrial environments.
Montrel will also carry out the wiring and connection of various materials supplied by Decal, including Rotork motor-operated valves, pneumatic valves with position detectors, instrumentation devices, and motors.
This project allows Montrel to strengthen its relationship with Decal and solidify its position in Huelva with a view to new projects and investments in the province.
With this contract award, Montrel reinforces its position as a leading provider of integrated industrial projects linked to the energy and chemical sectors, particularly in facilities related to the storage and handling of liquid bulk products. The company has previously participated in electrical installation works at tanker unloading terminals for products from the food industry, such as oils and derivatives.
According to Miguel Ángel García, Head of Electrical Projects, Installations and Instrumentation at Montrel, “this project allows us to strengthen our relationship with Decal and consolidate our position in Huelva in anticipation of new projects and investments in the province.”
In addition to its technical impact, the contract will have a direct effect on specialized employment and supporting industrial activities in the area, contributing to the economic dynamism of the Port of Huelva and strengthening the industrial value chain associated with the energy sector.
