Montrel attended the Naturgas Congress 2026 represented by its Latam Business Development Manager, Andrés Gutiérrez Meca. This event, considered one of the most relevant in the energy sector in Colombia and Latin America, was held from April 15 to 17 at the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center.

Under the slogan “The conversations that will define the progress of natural gas,” the event brought together business leaders, experts, government authorities, and international organizations to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the energy industry in the region.

In this new edition, strategic issues for the industrial sector were addressed, such as the energy transition, the role of natural gas in sustainable development, the 2026–2030 legislative agenda, the transportation and commercialization of natural gas, the financing of energy projects, and the outlook for the Latin American and Caribbean market.

The agenda also provided insight into different perspectives on the role of natural gas as a strategic source for economic and social development, as well as the challenges the sector will face in the coming years.
