Montrel strengthens its position in Europe with two strategic European LNG projects in Germany

Montrel, a leading company in innovative comprehensive solutions for the energy and industrial sector, has been awarded the contracts for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker truck loading facilities at the future terminals in northern Germany.

These projects are part of the country’s ambitious plan to strengthen its energy security and move towards a more sustainable and hydrogen-ready infrastructure. The new terminals are considered key pieces in the German and European energy strategy. Their objective is to diversify gas supply sources and prepare the facilities for the future import of renewable gases and clean fuels.

In this context, Montrel will execute the LNG loading systems for road transport, an essential element in the logistics chain that enables the flexible distribution of liquefied gas to industrial consumers and regional networks. The scope of the contracts includes detailed engineering, equipment supply, automation systems, instrumentation, mechanical and electrical assembly, as well as commissioning and technical assistance.

These projects are part of the country’s ambitious plan to strengthen its energy security and move towards a more sustainable and hydrogen-ready infrastructure.

“These projects consolidate Montrel’s international projection and demonstrate the confidence that the main European energy players place in our technical and management capabilities,” highlighted Borja Víu, CEO of Montrel. “Participating in the construction of two such emblematic terminals reinforces our commitment to the energy transition and to the development of safe, efficient and sustainable infrastructure.”

With this award, Montrel strengthens its positioning as a benchmark contractor in international gas and clean energy projects, exporting Spanish technology and talent to strategic markets and contributing to the decarbonization of the European energy sector.
