Montrel strengthens its international presence at the 5th International LNG GLOBAL Forum in Lima

A delegation from Montrel, led by its CEO Borja Víu, actively participated in the 5th International LNG GLOBAL Forum. The event took place from 13 to 15 October at the JW Marriott in Lima (Peru). Moreover, this meeting is considered the most important in the LNG sector in Latin America and the Caribbean. It brought together more than 300 delegates from 30 countries, including business leaders, authorities, investors and technical experts.

The forum addressed the main challenges and opportunities facing the sector. It placed particular emphasis on energy security and the transition to a more sustainable energy matrix. It also highlighted new infrastructure projects and technological innovations applied to the transport, storage and regasification of LNG. Furthermore, it analysed the growth prospects for emerging applications such as bunkering, land transport and the use of gas as a marine fuel.

Montrel had a corporate stand at the event. There, it welcomed clients such as PLNG, Crowley, Ecoeléctrica and Promigas. The team strengthened relationships and explored new opportunities for collaboration. In addition, the company made progress on projects with AES Panama and GNL Quintero. It also established contact with potential partners such as Lipigas (Chile), Petroperú and PIO SAS (Colombia).

The 2025 edition focused on international collaboration and technological innovation. Moreover, these pillars reflect Montrel’s solid track record. The company’s delegation participated in high-level conferences and meetings. As a result, it strengthened its position as a key technological partner in the LNG sector and the global energy transition. In addition, it consolidated alliances with APTIM, Cetil and Sener. This reinforced its commitment to the sustainable growth of the energy sector in the region.

One of the key highlights was the technical visit to the PERU LNG plant in Pampa Melchorita. Montrel has built two automated LNG loading stations for tanker trucks there. This project showcases the company’s experience and technological capabilities in industrial automation.
