Montrel promotes e-mobility together with Endesa X in Spain and Portugal

Endesa X EV charging network modernization is part of the new 2025–2028 Framework Agreement signed with Montrel. The agreement reinforces a long-term partnership that supports the growth of electric mobility in Spain and Portugal. Montrel will supply next-generation electrical switchboards designed to improve efficiency, safety, and performance in every charging station.

Through this contract, Montrel will manufacture and deliver electrical panels and protection systems for Endesa X EV charging points. These systems provide better control, faster installation, and safer energy management. The project strengthens a collaboration of more than twenty years and demonstrates both companies’ commitment to sustainable innovation and decarbonization.

Endesa X is currently expanding its EV charging infrastructure to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles across the Iberian Peninsula. The new switchboards will allow greater flexibility, scalability, and remote supervision, ensuring reliable power distribution at each site. This modernization will also optimize maintenance and extend the lifecycle of existing installations.

Over the past three years, Montrel has produced, tested, and delivered more than 300 switchboard units for the Enel Group, Endesa X’s parent company. With the new framework agreement, this number is expected to increase significantly before 2028. The experience gained positions Montrel as a reference supplier for future national and international e-mobility projects.

“This contract fully aligns with European sustainability goals,” said Israel Paredes, Manufacturing Director at Montrel. “By participating in Endesa X EV charging initiatives, we help accelerate the transition toward a cleaner, smarter, and more connected energy model. Our technology supports the development of charging networks across Spain, including the Canary and Balearic Islands.”

With this project, Montrel consolidates its leadership in electrical engineering for e-mobility, reinforcing its role as a trusted partner in the energy transition.

This project not only strengthens Montrel’s leadership in technological solutions for e-mobility but also actively contributes to the energy transition towards a cleaner and more sustainable model.
