This project will make it possible to integrate the plant into Hafesa’s common environment, ensuring a unified way of working, greater traceability of operations and more efficient management of tanker truck loading.
Montrel has been awarded the contract to implement the Hafesa Group’s loading automation system at its ODT plant located in the Port of Málaga. The project responds to the client’s need to equip this new facility with the advanced loading control system that Montrel has developed and successfully implemented at other fuel storage and distribution plants within the group.
Hafesa has once again placed its trust in Montrel to adapt the loading control system to the technical and operational particularities of the ODT Málaga plant, recently acquired as part of its growth strategy, thereby guaranteeing operational consistency and efficiency in processes.
The scope of the contract includes the software developments required to adapt the automation system to new loading modalities and to the specific equipment of the facility. This work will make it possible to integrate the plant into Hafesa’s common environment, ensuring a unified way of working, greater traceability of operations and more efficient management of tanker truck loading.
The scope of the contract includes the software developments required to adapt the automation system to new loading modalities and to the specific equipment of the facility.
From a technological standpoint, the project incorporates innovative elements aimed at improving day-to-day operations. Among them is the development of a more “user-friendly” loading mode, which includes the installation of touch screens at each loading point. These interfaces will simplify the process for drivers and provide detailed information about each operation in real time, improving both the user experience and the safety and control of the process.
Antonio Ramos, Head of Automation and Control at Montrel, highlights the strategic importance of this award: “This new contract demonstrates the continued trust of the Hafesa Group in our ability to automate and control critical installations within the fuels sector, and strengthens a collaborative relationship built over the years.”
Since 1990, Montrel has carried out complete automation projects for fuel storage and distribution terminals in both Europe and the Americas, allowing it to consolidate a high level of specialization and sector knowledge. On this occasion, the project will be developed by the Control and Automation area of Montrel Sistemas, a division with extensive experience in this type of solution.
With this award, Montrel not only strengthens its position as a leading technological partner for major energy operators, but also reinforces its project portfolio in a key area for its growth, focusing on innovation applied to the efficiency and standardization of industrial operations.
