Montrel developed and implemented an integrated truck loading automation system for Tepsa to manage tanker truck loading processes. It was tailored to the specific requirements of fuels and chemical products. The system enables full automation of operations and real-time process visualization. It integrates all operational levels through advanced control and supervision platforms.

Scope included functional analysis, design, programming, and software development for control, as well as industrial IT engineering, integrating communications, visualization, measurement, and management through PCs and PLCs. Montrel also designed and installed local networks and data processing centers, and established preventive, corrective, and evolutionary maintenance services for both hardware and software.

This truck loading automation system ensures complete integration between process control, safety, and supervision, improving reliability and operational efficiency across all Tepsa terminals.

Tepsa—now part of the French group Petrofrance—operates over 900,000 m³ of liquid bulk storage capacity, including petroleum products, chemicals, biofuels, and food-grade products, distributed across its terminals in Barcelona, Tarragona, Valencia, and Bilbao.
