Tanker truck automation was at the core of Montrel’s project for ILBOC, a joint venture owned by Repsol (30%) and SK Lubricants (70%). Montrel designed, executed, and automated the loading terminal for lubricating oils, developing a complete two-island system from scratch — including detailed design, engineering, equipment manufacturing, installation, commissioning, process control, and ongoing operational maintenance.
OUR WORK
ILBOC operates two large facilities in Cartagena: one next to Repsol’s refinery (36,000 m², 30,000 m³ storage capacity) and another in the industrial port (56,000 m², 12 finished product tanks). Both facilities are part of the tanker truck automation system developed by Montrel, ensuring efficient and safe operations throughout the loading process. This tanker truck automation enhances productivity and reliability across ILBOC’s logistics network.
