OUR WORK
Montrel designed, supplied, and implemented a dedicated LNG transfer system for bunkering small vessels and barges, leveraging its experience in cryogenic loading terminals and automation. The system operates from existing loading arms, adapting truck-loading processes to the maritime environment.
This allows barges to load directly at the terminal and refuel ships at berth or anchor in the port—an initiative aligned with Spain’s 2018 regulatory framework promoting LNG bunkering as a clean alternative to conventional marine fuels.
